Destination

One of my oldest, dearest friends got engaged over the Fourth of July weekend, and we're already hunting destination locations and talking save the dates. With all the pinning I've been doing, I thought I'd share some of my favorite tropical inspiration for the week ahead!

This week I'm loving the US Supreme Court's recent ruling on marriage equality, allowing all couples to enjoy the same rights and privileges that my husband and I have for the last five years. You guys, wedding planning this week sucked. Forgive the utterly teenage turn of phrase, but I genuinely cannot recall a more bananas 4 hours than Tuesday afternoon. So this week, I'm enormously grateful for my husband, for having the world's best attitude (and deep Southern drawl, which really helps to get stuff done!), Julie and Chris at Yonder Events, who rolled with the madness and let me hang out at Center for the Book, and the amazing Josh Gruetzmacher, who is my wedding guru in every way. And margaritas and House of Cards, because I'm only human.
